7 Reasons to Laugh about Intimates

After a couple of sobering posts, it seems like the right time to change things up a bit and showcase a little humor about intimate apparel.  What follows is an eclectic mix of videos highlighting the lighter sides of bras, panties, and shapewear.

The first video features local traffic reporter for WXII news (Greensboro-High Point-Winston-Salem, North Carolina), Jennie Stencel, “commenting” on a previous report about a new, Japanese specialty bra.  Though proving she can conserve pocket space with the best of them, Ms. Stencel likely suffers more discomfort from the jacks than she would have from the chopsticks.

The second video is a short clip from The Simpsons. Watch as Comic Book Guy does a masterful impersonation of William Shatner with a little help from a corset.

The third video shows an outtake from one of the most popular game shows in television history, The Price Is Right.  Leave it to Bob Barker to make the most of a wardrobe malfunctions.

The fourth video is a clip from the 2008 French Open.  Professional women’s tennis player, Jelena Jankovic, shows that locker rooms can be somewhat overrated.

The next video is for the do-it-yourselfer.  Ever find yourself short of a sports bra?  No need to panic.  Just grab a scissors and raid your husband’s or boyfriend’s underwear drawer.

The final two clips tell short tales about lingerie shops.  The first one, from Whose Line Is It Anyway?, demonstrates that one never knows where a piece of improvisational comedy will end up.

The second one’s a short skit from Monty Python’s Flying Circus.  John Cleese’s character obviously never listened to Willie Sutton, choosing instead to “adopt, adapt, and improve.”
